Métier Press

I am a lifelong bibliophile and founder of a publishing imprint. Métier is a fine press that combines traditional handcrafted methods and materials with modern design. The advent of the fine press movement was a response to scale, and Métier is likewise a meditation on the confluence of the analog and digital age.

Every facet of our process is considered. Letterpress printed on vintage machines, small batch Italian paper from the oldest mill in Europe, modern type from Dinamo, hand bound by artisans in the U.K., leather from a historic French tannery, and individually hand painted covers; each book is a one of one.
